Assemblywoman Karines Reyes and Assemblyman Michael Blake distributed vouchers for turkey and other food supplies in the Castle Hill. We were happy to serve as a pick-up spot in the neighborhood!

Last week our middle school scholars participated in a Read Aloud with PS160. The students had an awesome time reading a book about being Thankful and creating cards for their friends and family!

Last Sunday, we lost one of our past student to a senseless act violence. Stephon Dru Brown was a friend and student to many of us, he had a contagious smile that brought joy to all. On Thursday, we had a memorial for Stephon in the high school and a student created this video for him.

‪Friday, Nov. 1st, we had our second annual debate, but, with a twist. This year students represented actual presidential candidates like Bernie Sanders, Andrew Yang, etc. Assembly woman, Karines Reyes, was in attendance and spoke to our students about the importance of voting. 🗳

On this team building day scholars are ding the Human knot. The idea is to get into a circle without and hands reaching across which takes skill. This activity helps to build communication skills, it will build listening skills and being able to follow directions #team 🤝

‪Today was #NationalComingOutDay and our staff showed their support for the LGBTQ+ community by wearing rainbow stickers. Students could find a teacher with a sticker and talk to them confidentially. ❤️❤️

Our seniors have gotten the opportunity to speak to reps from different colleges. College reps have given them insight on college life, majors available at the school, scholarships and so much more. Thank you to all the reps that have taken their time to come to our school. #Class of 2020


ECS Senior Honored

Equality Senior Jean-Pierre Santiago was recently honored by the NAACP for his community service in Co-Op City. We are so proud of this recognition and his volunteering efforts.👏👏

What an amazing turnout we had for our college night. Our seniors showed up,with many parents in attendance. Many things like FAFSA, federal aid, scholarships, senior activities and more were discussed. Such an informative night, it was great. 👏👏
